Dr. Rubin and Dr. Sentelle take a few minutes to answer the top question on the minds of many parents these days!
"What extra precautions is Frisco Kid's Dentistry taking to protect everyone from COVID-19?"
MASKS. Masks are now a staple! All of the staff will be wearing masks and we require all patients, and their parents that come into the office, to wear one too. This is to keep you and everyone around us safe.
CAR IS YOUR WAITING ROOM. Sorry kids, our game rooms are currently closed. No more game tokens or toys right now. For everyone’s safety our waiting room is closed too. To check-in, you’ll text (214) 618-5200 with the patient’s name. When we’re ready, your kid(s) will come to the door to meet one of our assistants. They will review safety protocols, take their temperature and have them use hand sanitizer before bringing them to the back. Parents, we ask if your child is older, please wait in the car and we’ll text you when the appointment is finishing up. You can come in the office at that point, talk with the doctor, and check your child out. We’re staggering patients so we’re checking out only one family at a time.
MONITORING STAFF DAILY. All our staff is being monitored multiple times a day. We’re checking temperatures and making sure everyone is healthy and logging all that information.
SOCIAL DISTANCING. We’re keeping social distancing within the office. We’ve modified our office with medical-grade privacy screens between the hygiene chairs. Plus, we’re having each family isolated in their own area so you won’t be exposed to anyone else’s family.
AIR FILTRATION. We have HEPA filters that turn over the office air in specific treatment areas, as well as the larger hygiene area, about three times an hour. All the bacteria and viruses are being filtered out of the air on a regular basis.
MORE SAFETY PROTOCOLS. We’ve continued all our standard safety protocols — the staff consistently washes their hands, we all wear masks and/or face shields, plus wear jackets and gowns. We clean and sanitize the dental chairs and all the equipment between each patient. We have hand sanitizing stations everywhere for patients and parents to use while they’re in the office. Bottom line is we want to keep everyone safe!
These are some of the high-points, but rest assured we’re doing everything we can to make sure we stay healthy and provide a safe environment for our FKD families. If you have any more questions or need to make an appointment, please call (214) 618-5200 during our office hours and our team will be happy to assist you.
